Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) Accessibility Basics introduces users to what SVGs are, discusses areas where SVGs would be useful for organizations, and how to create accessible graphics. Specific techniques for logos, diagrams, graphs, maps and more are discussed, as will new features in the SVG2 spec, and some more advanced WAI-ARIA techniques.

About The Presenter

Brian McNeilly

Brian McNeilly is an Accessibility Consultant at Level Access, working with us for the past three years. Brian’s area of interest is in accessible data visualization. To help support this work, he serves on the W3C’s SVG Accessibility Taskforce, working to promote and implement accessibility features within the standard. In his free time, Brian enjoys backpacking all over California and is currently planning a four-day trip in Sequoia National Park.
